American indie folk band to perform in Turkmenistan with a tour

On October 23-31, Nashville-based folk-Americana band Humming House will visit Turkmenistan with a grand tour. The concert program of the artists includes performances both in Ashgabat and in the regions of the country where they will present to the Turkmen audience their compositions in the indie folk genre. On October 25, the group will give the first concert at the east of Turkmenistan, in Turkmenabat, at the State Music and Drama Theater named after Seyitnazar Seidi. On October 27, the folk band together with the quartet of the Turkmen National Conservatory will perform in Ashgabat, at the Vatan Cinema Concert Hall. On October 28, - in Balkanabat, in the building of the Music and Drama Theater, and on October 29, they will play in Turkmenbashi, at the cultural and sports complex of the Turkmenbashi Oil Refineries. The event organized within the framework of the “American Musical Art Abroad” Program is aimed at promotion of bilateral cultural relations between Turkmenistan and the United States. In connection with this, meetings of Humming House musicians with students of the Lebap Music Boarding School are scheduled.Ayna BERDIYEVA
