The world on canvas and through the camera lens

A talented person is talented in everything – how often this folk wisdom draws its confirmation among creatively gifted individuals. A member of the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan, Ahmed Hallyev, in addition to painting, mastered the art of artistic photography.
His photographs can be found not only in local magazines, but also in many foreign publications. Also, the paintings of Ahmed Hallyev adorn several museums in Turkmenistan and galleries in Turkey, Russia and France.
– In fact, as a child, I did not dream of being an artist, I remember that my father loved to draw. In due time, he left art school, having failed to study, while the passion for drawing never faded. Once my father noticed that I had some ability, he suggested me to enter a special school. I didn’t want that, but he managed to persuade me with a simple trick – dad promised to buy me a bike. So I became a pupil of the Turkmenabat Art School.
Ahmed admits that at first it was difficult to adapt to the creative school, but in the 4th grade, a pupil who was significantly successful among his herd mates was marked by teachers, and it was organized his first personal exhibition for him. Such opportunity does not fall to everyone, so it was an incentive for the future artist.
– Immediately after school, I successfully passed the entrance exams to the Ashgabat Academy of Arts and did not doubt my choice of profession. Our teacher – People’s Artist of Turkmenistan Aman Amangeldyev brought up the spirit of patriotism in students and promoted a love of history. We drew realistic scenes of historical battles, and the theme of history is reflected in my thesis.
Ahmed Hallyev considers himself an adherent of realism, and notes that the world of art is limitless. At some point, a colleague of the creative “workshop” suggested the artist to try himself as a photographer. Ahmed found this idea interesting, because the artist sees somewhat different world through the camera lens as well.
– I was madly fascinated by photography, – says Ahmed Hallyev. – I like to photograph absolutely everything. Portrait genre, nature and much more. Sometimes photography inspires to creation of paintings, and modern art is difficult to read, it is revealed not immediately.
Ahmed considers himself a perfectly happy person, who is able to see and reproduce the beauty. Every day of his begins with a search for an idea. Fixing creative ideas on a piece of paper, the artist hurries to his studio, where he realizes the ideas.
– There is a prologue to any picture, and I always keep good sketches, and I have a lot of them in my studio. To become a real artist, you need always to be in the creative process, to experiment, to seek your way. I can recommend beginners to paint more and read biographies of famous people, their life can be a great example of success.
