Turkmen crews on the podium of the Amul-Hazar 2018 rally
Two Turkmen crews at the finals of the "Amul-Khazar 2018" rally celebrate their "bronze success" today in two categories. In the MINI group (T1 1.2), they prize winners are Hodjaguly Annamammedov and Gaigysiz Akmyradov, who drove on the vehicle with the number 100.
The Turkmen racers were in the same company as the undisputed leaders of the raid - the two-time winner of the Dakar Nani Roma and his co-driver Alex Haro, as well as with the Czech duo Miroslav Zapletal and Marek Sikora.
Turkmenistan managed to outrun the Russian-Ukrainian crew consisting of Denis Krotov and Dmitro Ciro, who took the 4th place, as well as the Belgians Vincent Thijs and Tom de Lueva, who closed the top five.
The crew of Toyota (T2 2.2) with the number 104 on board showed excellent results. Pilot Guvanch Hommadov and navigator Rejepniyaz Annaberdyev proved to be faster than the only auto-lady Yulia Migunova-Hegay and the French team - the Motre brothers, standing on a pedestal with Kazakhstan crews - Kirill Chernenkov and Alexei Moon, who drove on the Nissan car under number 232 and the brothers Marat and Nursultan Abykayevs to Toyota at number 230.
