7th Annual Microfinance Forum in Central Asia and the Caucasus
On 26-27 October, Tbilisi will host the 7th Economic Forum “Microfinance goes digital: opportunities and challenges in the Caucasus and Central Asia”. The microfinance market in Central Asia and the Caucasus is young and dynamic, and this type of activity related to the provision of financial services, as a rule, to start-up companies - for small and medium-sized businesses – is actively introduced in economic life of the population. Investment opportunities for microfinance in recent years have grown significantly and diversified. Discussions and presentations will allow participants to share their experience, get expert answers to the matters of concern, and also communicate with colleagues on the most important subjects of the microfinance sector. Representatives of multilateral investment funds, banking structures, consulting companies, suppliers of IT solutions, as well as consultants from credit agencies of Sweden, Germany, Macedonia, France, Netherlands, Austria will take part in the conference. They will discuss such topics as market and investment outlook for 2017-2018; access to financing in local currency; main steps in increasing the attractiveness for new investors; credit risk management in microfinance: credit scoring in the region.
