Possibility to hear the world – as a gift to children with hearing disorder
What can be better than a gift of giving a chance to someone for the New Year? For example, again to hear sounds the world around you. Such gift has been presented by the UNICEF together with the Embassy of China in Turkmenistan to children-invalids. 20 children with hearing problems have received hearing aids made by Chinese experts.
- We are glad that we can bring a contribution to the development of children, - the head of the office of UNICEF in Turkmenistan Ms. Christine Weigand told.
In the eyes of parents the light of gratitude and hope that this New Year's gift will appear rather magic and help the child to hear the world, shone.
Guncha, mum of small Guychgeldi, told that her one-year-old son does not hear since birth, and since then they with her husband has done everything but in vain. Doctors recommended getting hearing aids. And here they were informed of the charitable action.
- I am greatly glad that such possibility has been given us, - young mummy speaks, hardly constraining tears.
Emotions really overflowed, when we saw widely and trustfully smiling children who as if felt that this day will for ever change their life.
Preparations are intended for children from 0 to 6 years, who have a certain degree of hearing disorder. By the videoconference with the Chinese experts parents could receive the detailed instruction of device application.
Children will be under supervision of Turkmen doctors to reveal progress.
- Maintenance of needs of children-invalids is in the centre of attention of UNICEF. The embassy of China also gives all support in Turkmenistan to children with limited possibilities of health. So we have also decided to create such collaboration, - Ms. Weigand told.
- Together - we are a big force which can overcome any difficulties, - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China in Turkmenistan Sun Weidong stated in the event.
