US Company to support development of alternative energy in Central Asia
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has awarded a contract to Tetra Tech, Inc. worth of US $ 24 million to assist Central Asia in the development and utilization of clean energy.
In accordance with the four-year contract, Tetra Tech, in close cooperation with USAID and national partners will help the Central Asian countries to build up the capacity in the field of sustainable energy.
The project provides for a number of technical services, such as conducting pilot studies to expand the use of renewable energy sources, developing innovative approaches to expanding sustainable energy networks and promoting increased investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency.
