Today, the exhibition center of the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan holds a jubilee exhibition of the painter Polat Annamuradov. The Balkan artist has a double holiday – a 55-year birthday anniversary and a 35-year of creative career.Altyn ASHYROVA
The exhibition presents 88 paintings, most of which are industrial landscapes depicting the process of oil and gas production in the Balkan region and working days of oil industry workers. In addition, there are landscapes, including seascape, as well as pencil portraits and paintings on the national theme.
Polat Annamuradov tells about himself very modest and short: he began his creative career from the bench of the art school of native city of Nebit-dag, then continued it in the Ashgabat Art College named after Shota Rustaveli, after graduating from the college returned back Nebit-dag, and, started working in the oil and gas industry. At same time, he was keen on painting of industrial landscapes. Since that time, Barsagelmes, Uzboy, Cheleken, Goturdepe, Ak-Patlavuk occupy the central part in the plots of his paintings.
“As a mechanic in the Barsagelmez Capital Repair Department, I travel a lot to work on deposits, wells. I take canvas and paint along with me always,” says Polat Annamuradov. “I paint what I know well.”
More about the author of paintings can be learned from his colleagues from the Union of Artists. At the opening speech, they admired his ability to combine both his passions: oil-producing equipment and painting, and recalled the interesting moments of his creative career.
As it turned out, not long ago, hero of the anniversary suffered from a serious illness that affected his legs. He was forced to stop travelling around the region. At the same time, the daily inspiration from work faded away instantly. However, persistent Polat Annamuradov did not give up and did not want to be in melancholy: having picked up a brush and a palette, he recreated the pictures he saw over and over again, perfecting his skills. Today’s exhibition is a symbol of the victory of his spirit over the body’s disease.
The first-year students of the same art school visited the exhibition also. They made quick sketches of visitors and received advice from recognized masters such as Saparmamed Meredov, Saragt Babayev, Jahan Hanova and others.
