Rally "Amul-Hazar 2018": taking care of the environment

Auto racing is traditionally associated with cars, exhausts and a certain impact on the environment. With the rally "Amul-Hazar 2018" - the international classification of the Turkmen Desert Race - everything will be different. According to the decree of the President of Turkmenistan, the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries (TKNPZ) will provide up to 200 tons of domestic diesel fuel EKO-5 (Euro 5) free of charge for participants of the rally. The environmental aspect of the race "Amul Hazar 2018" as qualifying for "Africa Eco Race" is one of the priority. The organizers of the rally actively promote the principles of reducing the harmful impact of cars on the environment during races. Over five days, more than 80 crews from France, England, Saudi Arabia, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan and other countries will race from the medieval fortress Amul (off the Amu Darya) to the coast of the Caspian (Hazar) Sea through 1500 km of the Black Sands - Karakum desert.
Using ECO-5 throughout the course will allow participants to get acquainted with the historical, cultural and natural attractions of the Turkmen land, minimally affecting the fragile eco-system of the desert.
