One, two, three! Herringbone, burn!
The country’s Main Christmas tree was lit up in Ashgabat. Now, it can be officially set a countdown to the New Year. We remind that there are only 15 days left!
The ceremony of burning new year’s lights occurred gorgeous, merry and informative. The main festive characters – Ayaz Baba and his granddaughter Garpamyk – introduced children “digitalization”. Yes, you shouldn’t be surprised. Turkmen Father Frost is in the trend, keeps on top of the technological innovations and uses them with pleasure, because they greatly simplify even the fairy-tale life.
For example, travelling around the country’s regions was not without online booking of tickets for the plane and train. Let’s agree, it turned out faster than on a sledge, even harnessed by fleet-footed Akhal-Teke horses.
On his way, the fairy-tale wizard constantly kept video-contact with other regions of the country. And guidebooks acquainted Ayaz Baba with the sights being worthy of his visit. As, for example, a banana plantation in Mary that Winter Steward examined with great interest.
Ayaz Baba and Garpamyk, as well as their assistants and children from all regions of the country arrived in Ashgabat in a more traditional way – on a snow-white painted sleigh. Joyful children greeted the festive cortege on the streets of the city. And adults were not behind, what a wonder...
On the square in front of the shopping and entertainment complex “Älem”, where the main celebrations unfolded, thousands of people waited the magician. Children prepared songs, dances and ringing congratulations for their favorite character.
Time flew by like a moment untill the holiday’s culmination – lighting the Christmas tree. And now Ayaz Baba swings a magic stick and thousands of garlands on a fluffy green beauty in Ashgabat, as well as on Christmas trees in all regions of the country, simultaneously flash myriads of colorful fireflies. Perhaps, indeed there is something magical in this both for children and adults, happily applauding the ceremony.
From this day, various new year’s performances, concerts, fairs, performances of pop artists at outdoor venues and many other things will be held in Turkmenistan. And the magic will not end after the twelfth stroke of the clock at midnight on December 31. Indeed, there is a whole year of achievements and successes ahead.
