The Elders of Turkmenistan will meet in October

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on convening the Council of Elders of Turkmenistan on October 9th, 2017 in Ak Bugday etrap of Ahal velayat. The Council of Elders is a representative deliberative body headed by the President himself. The most important issues of state life are brought to the meetings of the Council. Meetings of the Council of Elders are convened at least once a year by the proposal of the President and are held alternately in each of the five regions of the country and Ashgabat.
