North Khorasan increases exports to the countries of the region
During the first half of the current Iranian year (March 21-September 22), more than 310,000 tons of goods were exported from the Iranian province of North Khorasan bordering Turkmenistan. This is 19.6% more than in the same period last year, and 92% more in value terms, IRNA reported, citing data from the management of the North Khorasan industry, mining and trade. The main exported products were: petrochemicals, alumina powder, plastic products, building materials, food and agricultural products. It is noted that the key export destinations are Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Iraq, Tajikistan and Azerbaijan. Until the end of the Iranian year (March 20, 2018), the province plans to increase exports to $ 170 million. In January-August 2017, Turkmenistan as a whole imported goods from Iran worth $ 260.8 million, and exported $ 462 million to the neighboring country. Earlier, officials of the agricultural sector of the province of Northern Khorasan voiced plans to export in 2018-2019 purebred Turkmen horses to Europe and the Arab world, as reported on the channel "Iran Today".
