Avaza to host an international conference on transportation of oversized cargo
On 1-3 October 2018, the Congress center of the National Tourist Zone Avaza will host the first international conference “Heavy Caspian: Turkmenistan”, focused on transportation and installation of heavy-lift cargo in Turkmenistan.
The conference is organized by the international company Heavy World, which is a multi-platform for professional discussions and search for solutions for handling oversized cargo.
The Heavy World events usually attract experienced experts in the field of freight logistics services including all kinds of rail, road, air and sea transport from countries such as Russia, Germany, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, USA, Netherlands, Finland, Belgium, Turkey, Estonia, Latvia, Iran, India, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Denmark.
The conference “Heavy Turkmenistan” will discuss all aspects of logistics, including the potential of the international seaport in Turkmenbashi to receive project cargo, road and rail infrastructure, the practice of delivering project cargoes and particulars of the state regulation of the transport sector in Turkmenistan.
Experts of the Turkmen Logistics Association, ministries of railway transport, road transport and a number of other relevant ministries and agencies will make reports on these topics.
Participants of the forum will be able to see the capacities of the modernized Caspian port personally during a special tour.
Meeting with the executives of the State marine and river transport service will also be organized on the sidelines of the conference.
Why the participants of the freight and logistics market in Turkmenistan are interested in the issues of heavy an oversized shipments? The country is currently implementing some 1,700 major construction projects worth over US$ 42 billion, which include significant industrial infrastructure projects, \which sometimes faces need to deliver oversized cargo - industrial equipment, construction machinery and others.
Among the most important investment projects realized in Turkmenistan today are the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project, construction of several gas chemical complexes, development of the Galkynysh gas field.
