CNPC to increase gas production in Turkmenistan by 1.5 billion cubic meters per year

The Chinese state-owned energy company CNPC will produce 4 million cubic meters of gas per day at a new gas field in Turkmenistan, Enerji Günlüğü reports. Annually from the new field CNPC International Turkmenistan plans to extract about 1.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year. The company has already started work on a new field near the Amudarya River. The extraction at the new gas field should begin in 2019.
