Turkmenistan is developing a road map for the economy for 2019-2025
The Government of Turkmenistan is developing a program of socio-economic development of the country for 2019-2025. The program envisages taking measures to attract foreign investments, transition to a digital economy, increase of export of products, production of import substituting goods, as well as development of entrepreneurship and divestment of government property. There are more than 100 projects in industry, energy, foreign trade, agriculture, education, health and tourism to be implemented. According to economists, implementation of this program will create an innovative, high-tech and competitive economy in Turkmenistan. Taking into account the neutral status, active cooperation of Turkmenistan with the UN and international structures, it was decided to invite representatives of these organizations for collaboration to prepare the program.
