The President of Turkmenistan took part in the ceremony of enthronement of the emperor of Japan


Within the framework of his visit to the Land of the Rising Sun President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the ceremony of enthronement of emperor Naruhito.
At the enthronement ceremony of the 126th emperor of Japan, there were high-ranking officials from more than 180 countries of the world.
Having ascended to the Chrysanthemum throne in the Imperial palace, 59-year-old Naruhito in the first address as the monarch promised «He shall act according to the Constitution and fulfil my responsibility as the symbol of the state and of the unity of the people of Japan». He expressed hope that Japan will develop further and will bring the contribution to friendship and peace to the international community. It was in a traditional orange cloak and a special headdress - as his father looked almost three decades ago.
In turn, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe congratulated the emperor and by tradition made three banzai cheers, wishing longevity for the emperor, meaning «ten thousand years» of life.
In the evening in the imperial palace reception and official banquet were given.
A solemn parade on the occasion of enthronement of Naruhito was cancelled for November 10 in connection with liquidation of consequences of Typhoon "Hagibis".
Besides participation in the enthronement ceremony, the visit of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Tokyo envisages a meeting on Wednesday with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, a working breakfast with representatives of business community of Japan and other meetings.
