Turkmenistan is moving up in the world futsal rating

In the updated world futsal rating, which was published on the website futsalworldranking.be, Turkmenistan's national team ranked 75th, rising 6 positions up from 2017. Turkmenistan scored 834 points. Leadership is still held by Brazil and Spain, and Portugal is in third place. The the top five teams are joined Russia and Argentina. In the rating of the Asian national teams Turkmenistan is on the 17th place. The three leaders of the continent include Iran, Japan and Thailand. In Turkmenistan, the futsal is gaining rapid popularity. In May this year, the first round of the Ashgabat Open Futsal Championship was held among the teams of various departments and public organizations of the country. The second round of this championship starts in September.
