Turkmenistan will take part in the III World games of nomads

Virtuosos at playing national musical instruments — gargy tuyduk, dutar and gyjak, and masters of decorative and applied arts of Turkmenistan will take part in the III World Nomad Games (WNG), which will be held on the coast of the Kyrgyz Issyk-Kul from 2nd to 8th of September. Turkmenistan for the third time will take part in the World Nomad Games. In 2016, our athletes palvans became the second in the team ranking, winning 15 gold medals! The show of the group of national horse games "Galkynysh" was also triumphant. At the opening ceremony of the II WNG, the performance of Turkmen horsemen and their magnificent Akhal-Teke horses wrecked tumultuous applause.
In addition to traditional sports competitions, the WNG also hosts a multicultural ethno-festival "Universe of nomads" and scientific conferences. This is a unique platform for bringing people together. It is a bright and joyful holiday, showing the world all the richness of nomadic culture.
Participants and tourists will be able to wander through ethnobazaar, attend the screenings ethnic fashion, look at demonstration performances of pop and folk music and dance concerts, and get acquainted with modern and folk art at exhibitions.
This year, large-scale and colorful games will bring together participants from 80 countries, including such seemingly "settled" as Austria, Armenia, Belarus, Israel, Poland, Canada, Germany, Colombia.
