The President of Turkmenistan met with the head of Kyrgyzstan
In Ashgabat, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov, arrived in Ashgabat to attend a meeting of the Council of CIS heads of states. The two leaders discussed a number of issues of interstate cooperation, concretized its main vectors taking into account the existing prospects and modern realities. Among the priority areas were identified trade and economic sphere, energy, transport sector and a number of other industries. The Presidents discussed the progress of the agreements, reached during Sooronbay Jeenbekov’s first visit to Turkmenistan in August last year. Confirming their readiness for further constructive partnership in the international arena, the sides exchanged views on a number of topical issues of regional and global agenda of mutual interest.
