The main diplomats of the CIS countries gathered at the MFA of Turkmenistan

The meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States starts at the MFA of Turkmenistan. Before the meeting, the head of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry Rashid Meredov held bilateral meetings with colleagues from the Commonwealth countries. Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan - Elmar Mammadyarov, Armenia - Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, Belarus – Vladimir Makei, Kazakhstan – Mukhtar Tleuberdi, Kyrgyzstan - Chingiz Aidarbekov, Russian Federation – Sergey Lavrov, Tajikistan - Sirojiddin Mukhriddin, Uzbekistan - Abdulaziz Kamilov, as well as Chairman of the Executive Committee – CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev arrived in Ashgabat yesterday. A trilateral meeting of the MFA delegations of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan is also expected. The meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS countries will be held with a limited and enlarged membership to consider ten documents on the development of cooperation. It is planned to adopt an Action Program to enhance the partnership between the foreign ministries of the CIS member states. Then there will be held a press conference of the participants of the Ministerial meeting.
