A meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Central Asian countries and the Russian Federation
A meeting of the chief foreign policy makers of Central Asia countries and the Russian Federation was held at the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan before a sitting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The participants had a breakfast meeting. The previous such session took place in April this year in Moscow on the sidelines of the Council of the CIS Foreign Ministers under the chairmanship of Turkmenistan at the CIS. At that time, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, and the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Central Asian countries discussed the issues related to the integration process in Eurasia, ensuring stability and security in Central Asia and agreed to continue meetings in this format on a regular basis.
