TURKSOY Youth Chamber Orchestra celebrates the 25th anniversary of the organization in Balkans


The Youth Chamber Orchestra of TURKSOY started nine-day tour to the Balkan countries in honor of the 25th anniversary of this international cultural organization uniting the Turkic countries.
The orchestra consists of their young talents - students of conservatories from Turkmenistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
- We will witness once again the ability of music to bring people together irrespective of their language, religious belief or ethnic origin. The tour of the Youth Chamber Orchestra of TURKSOY to the Balkans will bring together kindred peoples as well as people who are interested in Turkic culture and art. We will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of TURKSOY all together, said in an interview with Anatolian News Agency Secretary General of TURKSOY Dusen Kaseinov, adding that recently the orchestra has had an intensive rehearsal period in Ankara.
According to him, the past concerts were so highly appreciated that this year the orchestra received many invitations. Last year, the musicians have already visited the Balkans, and the program of the current tour includes new cities. A total of six concerts are planned.
The tour of the orchestra will open with concerts in two Kosovo cities of Pristina and Prizren in the framework of the international festival "Awakening through art".
In Cetinje, the cultural capital of Montenegro, the orchestra together with the world-famous Russian violinist Viktor Tretyakov will take part in the festival "Expresvivo". Then the tour will continue in Mostar.
In early August, the orchestra will perform in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. A final concert will be held in Zenica.
Since its establishment in 2010, the Youth Chamber Orchestra, which performs not only the music of Turkic composers, but also the world classics, has given more than 50 concerts, including at the most famous musical venues of the world. Last year, the musicians released album recoded on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan.
