Turkmen Parliament passed a new law on entrepreneurs


The draft Law on the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan was considered at a Saturday session in the Turkmen Parliament. A new version of the previous similar law adopted in 2011 (as amended in 2017) will improve the legal framework for development of entrepreneurship in the country as well as support people engaged in this type of activity.
As reported by the TDH State News Agency on the seventh Mejlis session, the new law expanded the powers of this public organization, specified the rights and obligations of the SPTT. Parliamentarians passed an amended version of the law.
Some other bills were approved at the session, including those related to amendments and additions to the country’s legislation regulating free economic zones, property, trading activities, etc.
