Turkmenabat Theater will appear at the international festival in Kazakhstan
The State Music and Drama Theater named after Seyitnazar Seidi of Lebap velayat of Turkmenistan will attend the 1st International Theater Festival ABISH ALEMI to be held in Aktau on October 10-15. The delegation of 20 people will include the theatre manager, director, artists, as well as technical personnel. The creative team of Turkmenabat will present to a foreign audience the Dayakhatyn play about the history of one of the most important monuments on the Great Silk Road (the Dayakhatyn caravanserai), which still can be seen in Lebap. According to Theater Director Mekan Silapov, the Dayakhatyn play was praised by the audience during the theater festival in Turkmenistan. Therefore, we decided to perform with the same production. The ABISH ALEMI Festival is held to mark the 80th anniversary of the birth of People’s Writer of Kazakhstan Abish Kekilbayev. He was not only an outstanding writer, but also a well-known philologist and public figure.
