The flag of Turkmenistan and the symbol of the Games “Ashgabat 2017” installed on the Pamir Mountains

The height of the mountain peak, on the Chon Alai range of the Pamir Mountains between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, is 7134 meters. As reported on the site of the state agency TDH, expedition was organized jointly with the Executive Committee on the preparation of the 5th Asian Games. The action was a continuation of the “Ascent” project, during which the symbol of the Games “Ashgabat 2017” was planted on the mountain peaks in Turkmenistan, and also was delivered to other places of interest. The project team with the symbol reached the highest point of the country - the peak of Ayrybaba in Lebap velayat, the Dushakerikdag mountain in Akhal velayat and the Khasardag peak in the Balkan velayat. In addition, the project participants visited the State Historical and Cultural Park “Ancient Merv” and the legendary country of Margush, and even visited the deepest cavity in Turkmenistan - Akchakaya (81 meters below sea level), situated in the Dashoguz velayat. As a result of this project, the symbol of the 5th Asian Indoor and Marital Art Games, which opening ceremony will take place in a month in the capital of Turkmenistan, visited all regions of the country, and now can be found even on one of the highest mountain peaks in the world.
