Turkmenistan will take part in a glass industry exhibition in Milan
The Turkmen delegation will participate in the 21st International Exhibition Vitrum 2019 to be held in Milan on October 1-4.
The biannual show attracts large players in the glass industry, sales professionals and buyers from around the world. The main profiles of Vitrum 2019 are: glass products for industrial purposes, the production, processing and afterworking of glass, energy saving and biotechnology. It will be very interesting to know what contribution the glass industry has already made to development of innovative products using new renewable and environmentally friendly energy sources.
This year, the focus will be on modern solutions to the use of glass in architecture and construction, furniture production, as well as the automotive industry. The exhibition will include seminars on the novelties in glass production and international standards in this area.
The largest glass factory in Central Asia with equipment manufactured in Germany, Belgium, Italy, Austria and Finland was commissioned in Turkmenistan in early 2018.
The same year, glass and the related products first appeared in the country’s export structure, and the amount of supplies to foreign markets in 2018 totaled in value terms more than 3.4 million US dollars.
In January-August 2019, over 3.4 million square meters of flat glass were produced in Turkmenistan, an increase of 7.7% compared to the same period in 2018.
