Turkmen artists take part in the International Magic of Dance Festival that has opened today in one of the historical cities of Uzbekistan - Khiva. The festival was a great celebration, haying brought together dancers of many countries. Groups came to Khiva not only from neighboring countries of the region, but also from Poland, Malaysia, Italy, India, etc. All participants are inspired by the atmosphere of friendship and unity that prevails in the Ichan-Kala Museum-Reserve. Speaking at the festival’s opening ceremony, the head of Khorezm Region Administration highlighted that the present event is yet another proof of how the language of dance unites different peoples and cultures. - In addition to human communication, this festival provides an opportunity to share experiences with colleagues from other countries. And it’s a great honor for me to perform on the same stage with the best bands of Asia and Europe, East and West, Uzbek artist Dilnoza Mavlonova says. Turkmenistan is represented at the Magic of Dance Festival by a dance ensemble of Dashoguz Region, bordering Khorezm Region of Uzbekistan. In April 2018, during his state visit to Uzbekistan, the President of Turkmenistan also visited Khiva and Ichan-Kala museum complex.
