China intends to launch national artificial intelligence plan
According to China Daily, in the near future, China will present the strategy on development of the artificial intelligence technology up to 2023. China will launch a series of core AI research and development projects, devote more resources to nurturing talent, and accelerate the application of AI in education, healthcare, security and other sectors, Minister of Science and Technology Wan Gang said at the World Intelligence Congress in Tianjin. According to the senior official, China has already drafted the strategy for development of artificial technology up to 2030 and will soon present it. China will not only create the ground for AI inside the country, but also beyond its borders. China is planning to establish relations with foreign companies and create all necessary conditions for the opening of research centers on the territory of the state. Experts forecast the artificial intelligence to boost the economy in China through 2030.
