TCOR increased production and shipment of products by one third
For the first half of 2018, the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR) increased production and shipment of industrial products by 33.5 percent. According to the State Statistics Committee of Turkmenistan, the greatest increase in production was for fuel oil (+ 13%), petroleum coke (+9.3%) and polypropylene (+6.1%). At the same time, the export of a number of petroleum products produced at the TCOR has significantly increased. Thus, in January-May 2018, the Turkmenistan’s exported of oil coke is 82 percent more than during the same period last year, which made a tangible contribution to the overall growth of Turkmen exports (+41.5%). Taking into account the modernized facilities at the country's largest plant and the launch of the Gas-and-Chemical Complex for the production of polyethylene and polypropylene in the Kiyanly seaside in the near future, the capacity of oil and gas processing industry of Turkmenistan will be expanded even more in the second half of 2018.
