The law on cybersecurity has been developed In Turkmenistan. The Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of National Security Yaylym Berdiyev reported on it at the meeting of the government who chairs the working group for preparation of the draft of this law. The law is aimed at protection of national "cyber sovereignty", defines the procedure of safety of information infrastructure in strategic branches. The law has been approved by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The Turkmen leader gave the Secretary of the State Security Council, head of MNS, a number of commissions on the given topic.
