Head of Singapore Business Federation has invited the Turkmen companies to ASEAN
Chairman of Singapore Business Federation Teo Siong Seng, speaking about the economic potential of Turkmenistan for establishment of trading and investment relations with Singapore also noted that for the Turkmen companies there are huge possibilities to access to markets of ASEAN - fast-growing large economic region in Asia.
Singapore is a member of ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) - and has a huge network of various agreements on free trade and also knowledge of regional markets. Accordingly, Singapore is an excellent base for the Turkmen companies for introduction into new markets of South East Asia and is wider, all East Asia, Teo Siong Seng told.
The business forum "Turkmenistan-Singapore" also developed upon it
- Today's forum represents fine possibility of acquaintance with modern economic development, the trading and investment policy of Turkmenistan and also study possibilities of cooperation and investment potential of Singapore, - the head of Business Federation told.
He cited the data according to which the volume of goods turnover of two countries for 2018 has grown in the past two years by 5 times.
It is an indicator of growing interest in each other between business communities of our countries, - concluded Teo Siong Seng. He pointed out that Turkmenistan has huge stocks of natural gas and in addition to cotton and is also rich in sulphur, iodine, salt, every possible components for development of chemical and building industry that can become a basis for new successful cooperation.
Today the Business Federation of Singapore and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan have concluded the Memorandum of Mutual Understanding on cooperation. On the margins of the forum other documents have been also signed.
