Delegation of Turkmenistan arrived in Singapore


Today, a large delegation of Turkmenistan arrived in Singapore – more than 100 people, and about half of them represents the country’s business community. The trip was organized within the framework of the state visit of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Singapore, starting on August 26.
This is the first visit of the government delegation of Turkmenistan to Singapore, and the introduction of high-ranking officials – heads of a number of industries and government institutions, as well as businessmen confirms the focusing on specific commercial projects and results. And this is logical – the most fast-growing economies in the world now are concentrated in Asia, a vast region with hidden potential. One of the noticeable points of its growth is Singapore, and business is the stimulus to this growth.
On Monday, July 26, it will be held the Turkmen-Singapore business forum – one of the important events, planned in the framework of Berdimuhamedov’s state visit.
The business meeting will be held at Shangri La Hotel. The business composition of the Turkmen delegation is headed by the Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Alexander Dadaev. He will acquaint Singapore colleagues and investors with the opportunities of the private sector of the economy of Turkmenistan and present the UIET new projects, which may interest them in terms of participation.
Already today, members of the delegation have held the first meetings with future partners from Singapore. According to the forum results, it is scheduled to sign bilateral documents.
Tomorrow night, the Turkmen leader is expected to arrive in this country and hold talks with President of Singapore, Halimah Yacob in the Istana on August 27.
