Berdimuhamedov inspected the final stage of the international rally route
On July 11, in Avaza, President Berdimuhamedov was acquainted with the preparation for the “Amul-Hazar 2018” International Rally, having inspected the progress of the work at the finish stage of the auto race route, the Information Program “Vatan” reported.
Here the head of state also answered the journalists’ questions, describing the specifics and the most difficult parts of the rally route, as well as significance of the forthcoming competitions.
With the help of the map, the president showed the final stage of the race distance, which runs along the Caspian coast and has several sharp turns, including at the finish.
It was touched upon the issue of design of the improved SUV, developed by Berdimuhamedov, in which certain technical issues, for example, engine cooling systems and other problems of adapting the machine to desert conditions, were solved.
The theme of continuity of the rally “Amul-Hazar 2018” and the 2009 Kazan-Ashgabat Car Rally was touched upon. Among the main differences of the forthcoming rally in Turkmenistan, Berdimuhamedov underlined the ecological component of the project. Therefore, it is called eco-rally race.
In this regard, the initiative of the Turkmen leader to include the Karakum deserts in the UNESCO World Heritage List was discussed.
The issue of ecological well-being and improvement of the biosphere of the Caspian Sea, which will be discussed at the Summit of the heads of the Caspian states, scheduled for August 12, is also significant.

After overcoming a difficult distance of 18 kilometers in 14 minutes 30 seconds, the head of state finished first.
In addition, the President of Turkmenistan gave directions on organization of bivouacs on the rally route and accompanying cultural events, as well as a number of other instructions, so that these competitions become a memorable event for all participants and guests.
