Pupils of Turkmenistan secondary schools at the 51st IchO International Chemistry Olympiad in Paris, won bronze medals.
The purpose of this Olympiad is to develop the interest of schoolchildren all over the world in the chemical sciences. The event is notable in that famous laureates and scientists are invited to it, who by their example inspire children to continue their way in science.
The competition was held in two rounds - practical and theoretical. Each tour continued for 5 hours.
The Turkmen team of four people Atabay Allamuradov, Yusup Dovletmuradov, Berdyklych Redjepbaev (students of the State boarding school for especially gifted children), Palvan Djumaev (secondary special school No. 26 of Dashoguz) and their tutor Nazar Mammedov showed good results - three bronzes medals and one Certificate of honour.

Atabay Allamuradov is a graduate of the 11th grade of the same school, said that the practical stage that took place in the laboratory was difficult for him:
- Each of the participants received separate questions, scored individual points for medals. It was not easy. But participation in this Olympiads is very prestigious. Many universities are happy to invite medalists to study.
Palvan Djumaev is also a graduate of this year, agrees with his teammate. He also has to enter the university, and he firmly decided to continue studying chemistry.
Over the past few years, pupils from Turkmenistan are regularly awarded medals and diplomas at international intellectual competitions and Olympiads. Turkmen children are also interested in preserving the ecological balance and development of green technologies.
