New Malaysian Minister of energy gained experience in Turkmenistan


Someone can find Turkmenistan as a one of the job places in CV of newly appointed Malaysian minister for energy, green technology, science and climate change.
35-year-old engineer Yeo Bee Yin is considered one of the youngest officials who recently joined the ranks of the Malaysian Cabinet.
After graduating from Teknologi Universiti Petronas with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Yeo worked for two years in Ashgabat in the oil and gas service company Schlumberger.
Having received the necessary technical and practical experience in Turkmenistan, the girl continued her education in England and gained Masters in Advanced Chemical Engineering, University of Cambridge. Then, back home Yeo at the age of 29 years flung herself into the world of politics, winning elections to Selangor's State Legislative Assembly.
As a Minister, Yeo Bee Yin plans to focus all efforts on the development of the "green" industry, the creation of jobs in this industry and the solution of problems related to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
Among the outstanding political figures whose career path has passed through Turkmenistan is the former President of the Maldives, Dr. Mohammed Waheed Hassan, who led the UNICEF mission in Ashgabat for several years.
