Malaysian Engineering Service Company eyes on stepping up its market share in Central Asia


Serba Dinamik Holding intends to expand its presence at Central Asian fuel energy market and hopes to secure some projects in new countries in the region this financial year, reports The Edge Markets portal. Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd is a Malaysia-based investment holding company, which provides information technology (IT) solutions and energy service and engineering solutions mainly to the Oil and Gas (O&G) and power generation industries. “The projects would be centred around Central Asia - we are looking at three countries: Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan,” told group’s CEO Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah. According to Karim Abdullah, the groups is involved in serious and positive negotiations with the Central Asian countries. The matters is “combination of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) and operation and maintenance (O&M)”. In his earlier interviews, he said that prospects in the Central Asian region are also positive, taking into account the sizeable projects over a four-year duration in Turkmenistan. In May 2018 Serba Dinamik has signed Islamic finance facility agreement with Mizuho Bank Malaysia Bhd worth over US$20 million. As it was reported, this working capital will be allocated for the company's overseas offshore projects. Currently, Serba Dinamik’s activity covers upstream oil and gas sector in Indonesia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan, Tanzania, Britain, US, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand.
