Is it decent to make selfies during a hajj?

The life of a modern person, especially a young person, cannot be imagined without modern devices - smartphones, iPhones, tablets, etc. And people visiting new, unusual places tend to capture themselves against any sights. Good thing, why not? And how to be a Muslim during the Hajj, because many fall into holy places once in a lifetime?
It’s decent to take a selfie, say, during a hajj, the first deputy chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia, the head of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation Rushan Abbyasov told Sputnik Tajikistan.
He noted that selfies and photos during the traditional Muslim pilgrimage - Hajj – are a natural phenomenon, but it is important not to forget about the main purpose of the trip. According to Abbyasov, it’s not forbidden to take photographs and selfies in holy places, but every pilgrim must remember that he came here for a completely different purpose, and turning the pilgrimage into a show would not be right.
The head of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia stressed that the desire of people to capture themselves in holy places, in order to show them later to friends, family and acquaintances is a normal, human desire. “But, it is necessary to take into account the subtlety of the fact that people set the right priorities during the Hajj, this important pillar of Islam,” said Abbyasov.
And in conclusion, a small addition from ORIENT to this post by Sputnik Tajikistan. It is said that once at a press conference, a journalist asked Pope John Paul II whether it was decent for Pope to ski. “It is indecent for Pope to ski badly,” the Pontiff answered.
That is, taking a selfie on Hajj is not forbidden, but only if its a good selfie.
