Turkmen diplomats took part in the festival «Feel at home in Belarus»
Representatives of the diplomatic representation of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Belarus took part in the festival «Feel At Home in Belarus» («Vyshyvanka»), organized in honour of Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus and the 75th anniversary of its liberation.
Along with other embassies accredited to Belarus, Turkmen nationals presented guests national dishes, costumes as well as familiarized with traditions and values of their country. Creative groups performed folk songs and dances.
With his family the minister of foreign affairs of Belarus Vladimir Makey met guests.
- We would like that diplomats who work in our country, feel at home in our o country, — the head of the foreign office of Belarus noted.
The festival, in which all from ambassadors to the minister change business suits to national costumes, was held in the atmosphere of friendship now for the third time. This time it hosted about 200 guests. They were treated to Belarusian potato pancakes, Ukrainian dumplings, Italian pasta, Oriental sweetmeats and even American pies.
