Turkmenistan increases production and export of sulfur

In January-May, Turkmenistan increased export of sulfur by 2.3 times compared to the same period last year. The peak in the growth of shipments was in January, when more than 110 thousand tons of the product were sent to foreign countries.
Recently, TurkmenGaz State Concern announced a tender for the purchase of additional material and technical resources for the closed storage of commercial sulfur prill, which also confirms an increase in its production by the enterprises of the state concern.
Sulfur prill is widely used in agriculture as fungicides – biocidal chemical compounds used to kill parasitic fungi or their spores. In addition, sulfur is used to produce sulfuric acid and many types of drugs.
