The new glass factory of Turkmenistan sets up a record on productivity

The glasswork factory “Turkmen Ayna Onumlery”, launched in mid-February 2018, produced more than 2 million 227 thousand square meters of sheet glass by the end of May, over fulfilling the plan by 2.1 times.
According to the State Committee of Statistics of Turkmenistan, the plant demonstrated amazing productive capacity from the very first days of its operation, when by the end of February it had already produced over 871 thousand square meters of sheet glass and 7 million pieces of glass containers of various capacities.
The new Turkmen glass products quickly found foreign buyers and by April of 2018 already earned the first millions of dollars of foreign currency.
From the beginning of May to the middle of June, about 500 thousand square meters of sheet glass produced at the new enterprise have been traded at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.
Why it is important: ORIENT already wrote that “Turkmen Ayna Onumlery” became another export-oriented industry in the country. The productive capacity of the new plant confirms this statement and indicates that the company can fulfill its obligations to large foreign customers.
Company’s profile: “Turkmen Ayna Onumlery” is the largest glasswork venture in the Central Asian region. It is located in Ovadandepe near Ashgabat and specializes in production of “Float” glass (polished, sheet glass) and various glass containers for the food and medical industries.
