Football inspired culinary cooks: a giant chak-chak in the form of a soccer ball cooked in Kazan

In honor of the opening of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, chak-chak, the traditional Tatar sweet, of incredible size was prepared in the capital of Tatarstan. Four-ton sweet became the center of attention of fans at the opening of the FIFA festival in Kazan.
It was needed 9,000 eggs, 1 ton of flour, 1 ton of honey and an unimaginable amount of chocolate to cook a chak-chak in the form of a soccer ball. The whole staff of the confectionery shop of the Kazan Department of Food and Social Catering participated in the making of a sweet dish. About 20 cooks took it in during two days.
The sweet ball of giant size broke the previous record of Russia, which belonged to Bashkortostan since 2016. After registering the record and awarding the certificate, the sweet was cut, and the president of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the head coach of FC Rubin Kurban Berdyev, the football players Gekdeniz Karadeniz and Sergei Ryzhikov served it out to fans.
