Legendary FIFA World Cup Trophy finished its global tour

On June 3, the Manezhnaya Square of the Russian capital hosted a solemn ceremony of welcoming much-coveted FIFA World Cup Trophy. Representatives of Moscow Mayor, FIFA, and the famous German football player Lothar Mattheus attended the presentation ceremony. Now the preparations for the main football event came to the final straightaway. The Mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, commented on the degree of readiness of the infrastructure facilities for the Championship: “All of Moscow’s guests will enjoy not only football and top-class stadiums but also a splendid city: museums, theaters, parks and pedestrian zones.” The FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour kicked off on early September 2017 and visited 51 countries across six continents. It also visited Turkmenistan. The 1998 World Cup Champion Christian Karembeu presented the FIFA Cup to the Turkmen fans on February 7, 2018.Maya AMANMURADOVA
