China joined the celebration of World Bike Day
June 3, around the world, there were large-scale bike rides and other competitions in honor of World Bike Day. The holiday was joined by the Celestial Empire, where a mass bike ride was organized at the sports complex of the Beijing Oil University with the assistance of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in China.
The event was attended by officials of the diplomatic representation of Turkmenistan in China, representatives of a number of diplomatic missions of foreign countries, leaders of public, sports organizations and media of China, as well as more than 200 Turkmen students studying in universities in Beijing.
At the inauguration ceremony, the importance of popularizing the culture of cycling, which contributes to the improvement of many factors of human life, starting from improving health and ending with a positive impact on the ecology of the planet, was emphasized.
Then a mass bike ride was launched, during which a column of cyclists moved along the wide cycle track of the sports complex, and along the whole planned route, it came to the main square of the complex where the short distance race for girls and boys began.
As a result of the competition among the ladies, the winner was the postgraduate student of the Beijing Oil University Jahan Saryeva.
Among the young men, the best student was the student of the same school Magtymguly Gurtgeldiev.
Winners were awarded prizes and memorable gifts.
