The creative collectives of artists from Russia, China, the DPRK, Ukraine, Germany, Portugal, Belgium and other countries formed the competition for our inimitable dzhigits at the famous arena.
Grand prix of the festival was won by the Russian trainer Vitaly Smolyanets with the attraction "The Empire of the Lionesses". "Golden Gaetano" also went to the participants of the performance "Magnificent Diabolo Girls" from China and acrobats from North Korea.
In total, ten circus horses from Turkmenistan arrived in the northern capital of Russia, who also headed the column of the circus parade in honor of the 315th anniversary of St. Petersburg.
The award "Gaetano" is named after the legendary Italian horse trainer and rider Gaetano Ciniselli, who 140 years ago founded the first stationary circus in Russia on the Fontanka embankment.
