Akhal-Teke horses and elephants on the streets of St. Petersburg: the Day of the city on the Neva was celebrated with a circus parade

A circus parade and elephant march through the streets of the city during the celebration of the 315-year of St. Petersburg and the International Circus Festival that is ongoing in the northern capital of Russia, was held.
The column was headed by the participants of the Turkmen group of equestrian games “Galkynysh” on the magnificent Akhal-Teke horses. In addition, among the walkers one could see jugglers, acrobats, students of circus studios of the city, and the orchestra of the Circus Ciniselli.
Turkmen horses have attracted the attention of the residents of St. Petersburg no less than elephants. Many of them tried to come closer and to take pictures next to horses and riders in white hats.
The orchestra of drummers from many Russian cities replaced the circus show on Nevsky Prospekt. The procession ended with a unique action: the record of Russia in terms of the number of drummers who performed the drumming was set. In total, about one thousand musicians who lined up on the roadway along the Gostiny Dvor simultaneously played on Nevsky Prospekt.
