Turkmen senior class kids participate in International Olympiad in India


Over 170 schoolchildren from 11 countries have come together to participate in at Amity University Campus in “7th Amity International Olympiad for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology” organized by Amity Institute of Competitive Examinations (AICE), Noida, India from 21 till 27 May. The intellectual battle is attended by 20 schoolchildren from Turkmenistan, as well as students from Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Tajikistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Russia, Turkey. “Amity encourages participation of students in healthy competitions between different countries as they further help in strengthening ties and such competitions are also a medium to understand each other’s culture”, said Dr Mrs. Amita Chauhan, Chairperson of Amity International Schools, addressing at Olympiad opening ceremony. During the week long Olympiad, students will be trained under the leadership of renowned faculty members and subject experts. Then, during the first day the participants will have theoretical examinations on selected subjects and next day will have practical contest. The result is declared based upon the outcomes of both the theory and the practical paper and the winners are announced. Serdar, 11th grade, one of the members of Turkmen team, said that they are looking forward to the test as their forerunners from last year who participated in the competition, said that the Amity Olympiad is a good platform to test knowledge of chemistry and biology concepts. Amity Olympiad offers not just grounds for improving in hard and natural sciences, but also contributes to enriching cultural knowledge. Students will have a trip to the famous Taj Mahal and Delhi Darshan where the students will get acquainted with rich Indian architecture and culture. Amity International Olympiad is aimed at fostering relations amongst participating countries and promoting youth-to-youth exchanges. Participation in this internationally recognized contest is a huge achievement.
