Diplomatic activity increased during the international sporting event in Ashgabat

In the period of the 5th Asian Games "Ashgabat 2017" and the accompanying influx of a large number of officials in Turkmenistan, there is an increased diplomatic activity. So, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, after negotiations between the leadership of the State Committee for Sports with the delegation from Japan, headed by the President of the Tokyo Organizing Committee for the preparation of the Olympic Games, Endo Toshiaki, a Memorandum on the Training Center for Preparing for the Olympic Games was signed. The signatories are the Chairman of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Sports, T. Komekov and the Mayor of Tendo city of Japan, Shinji Yamamoto. At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held meetings with delegations from various Asian countries: headed by Parliamentary Vise-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Manabu Horii; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Dominican Republic to India Frank Hans Dannenberg Castellanos; Minister of Foreign Affairs and Labor of Singapore Sam Tan; Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, General Thanasak Patimapragorn, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam Le Khan Khai. The issues of development of interaction in various spheres were discussed during the meetings. A special emphasis, taking into account the scale of the events held in Ashgabat, was made to expand cooperation in sports and tourism spheres, as well as between business communities.
