RT will make a film about Darvaza: mystical charm of the Karakum
Today, the group of the international television channel Russia Today (RT) is visiting Turkmenistan, to "shoot" for the planned shooting of the unique object and one of the main tourist "traps" of Turkmenistan - Darvaza, a gas crater that has attracted people from all over the world for many decades.
Not surprisingly, this crater attracted the attention of the video agency RT - Ruptly, which in October 2017 launched the Ruptly Live platform. It allows you to include live broadcasts in 360 degrees.
Panoramic video of the Darvaza crater is not the only subject of RT's interest in Turkmenistan. Establishing RT partnerships with Turkmen colleagues suggest not only an exchange of information, but in the future - other joint projects. All this is now at the stage of preliminary consultations.
As they say, representatives of Russia Today recently Turkmenistan began to reopen to the world, which saw a country with an incredible economic potential, an ancient and original culture, and most importantly - with political will to multi-channel international cooperation for common purposes and interests.

Darvaza, of course, is not an archaeological site, but it is quite historical - it was created as a result of geological exploration and the burning crater is about 50 years old, and besides - geological, and perhaps also astrobiological.
One Canadian researcher, who descended to the bottom of the crater in a special suit and took samples of soil from there, managed to find life in them! These microorganisms, comfortably feeling themselves among such high temperatures, can reveal to humanity new facts about the Earth and the Universe.
The place is indeed quite mystical. No wonder it was included in the top ten of the most amazing and luring places on the planet, and can be found in the top lines of any travel rating.
And, despite the gloomy name "Gates of Hell" that the popular rumor appropriated to it, this "door to hell", as the Darvaza crater is often called by foreign media, for some reason does not frighten anyone, but, on the contrary, draws more and more attention and more guests.
It is not only the fascinating aura of the place, but the Turkmen friendliness and hospitality that affects the attraction - even the most lonely loner will need a guide to get here, or simply transport.
There is practically no desert here. Even at night. Rather, at night especially, because then the pit, burning in the middle of the "black sands" - Karakum, looks particularly impressive. If not groups, then at least solitary tourists-extremals will necessarily wander along the edge of the crater, trying to make a spectacular selfie. Stay with an overnight stay in this place - this is what many travelers demand from the tour operator.
