Turkmenistan and Kuwait became members of the International Hockey Federation


The Federation of Hockey of Turkmenistan and Kuwait were unanimously admitted to the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) on May 17th, in Copenhagen. On Thursday in Copenhagen, the IIHF Congress was held in the framework of the World Hockey Championship. The meeting raised the issue of admission to the federations of Turkmenistan and Kuwait, the congress participants unanimously voted for the accession of two new countries. "Turkmenistan fulfilled its obligations. Now it is a member of IIHF and has one vote. I would like to thank Turkmenistan that they participate in our competitions. The same goes for Kuwait. Congratulations on joining the IIHF," said IIHF Secretary General Horst Lichtner during the congress.
