Turkmen businessmen to visit Gagauzia for participation in investment forum
The governor of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, Moldova, Irina Vlach has invited the Minister of Economy and Development of Turkmenistan and Turkmen investors to participate in the third international investment forum “Invest Gagauzia”, to kick off on 4 November this year.
The invitation was voiced during a meeting with Minister Batyr Bazarov, held on the sidelines of the visit of the Moldovan delegation led by President Igor Dodon to Ashgabat for inauguration ceremony of 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
The parties discussed the prospects for exchanging experience in the agro-industrial sector, including on the advanced technologies of agricultural crop cultivation.
Irina Vlach has noted with satisfaction the start of supplies of Turkmen pharmaceuticals to Gagauzia, which became possible due to fruitful negotiations at the top and intergovernmental levels.
The agreements on the activation of the trade and economic partnership and participation of business circles of Turkmenistan in the upcoming investment forum were achieved at a meeting with the chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Alexander Dadayev.
The governor of Gagauzia and the head of the country's major business public organization discussed such specific areas of cooperation as the export of Gagauz wine products, promotion of Gagauz goods in the Turkmen market, opening of a confectionary in Gagauzia and construction of a plant for the production of agricultural products.
The opening of the Gagauz trading house in Turkmenistan was considered in detail.
According to Vlach, Gagauzia is interested in attracting of Turkmen investments in free business zones in Comrat and Ceadir-Lunga, where it is planned to construct industrial parks.
In May this year, the kindergarten "Dostluk" for 160 places was commissioned in the village of Cishmichioi. The project was financed by the government of Turkmenistan and realized by Turkmen construction company “Baýly gurluşyk”.
