Dragon Oil expands Caspian oil-field fleet
Dragon Oil (Turkmenistan) Ltd., upstream oil and gas company operating in the Turkmen sector of Caspian Sea, has awarded $ 100 million contract to Topaz Energy and Marine, Dubai-based well-known offshore support vessel and marine logistics company.
According to the contract terms, Topaz will supply Dragon Oil with total six vessels, including five anchor-handlers and one emergency recovery and response vessel. The contract has been concluded for five years with two years prolongation clause.
The vessels are designed for operation in the Cheleken contract area.

Topaz maintains its presence at the Turkmen market since 2010. The company is also committed to other countries of Caspian basin through servicing the development and production needs of major companies such as BP, Chevron, ExxonMobil and Saipem.
The company’s global fleet comprises of 97 vessels, 62 of them are located in the Caspian Sea at the exploration sites of Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
